Dorota Siuda was born in Zielona Gora in Poland. She studied at the Music Academy in Bydgoszcz, where she received her diploma degree in 1988. She then moved to the United States where she attended the University of Southern California, earning her diploma four years later.
Ms Siuda has won prizes in several prestigious international competitions, including the Yehudi Menuhin International Competition for Young Violinists in 1983 an the Henryk Wieniawski International Competition in 1986. In 2010 she received the Culture prize from Region Kronoberg.
In 1994 Dorota Siuda joined Musica Vitae Chamber Orchestra in Sweden, and two years later she was appointed concertmaster. Highly in demand as a soloist with various orchestras in Sweden, on the Continent, and elsewhere, Ms Siuda has toured extensively together with Musica Vitae, both as concertmaster and as a soloist. She has performed with Blåsarsymfonikerna in Stockholm with conductor Christian Lindberg, since 2006 she is a returning guest at the Festival Virtuosi in Recife, Brazil and since 2015 she regularly performs as concertmaster at Casa da Música in Porto, Portugal.
